Mrs. Sharon Blott provides psychological services in Calgary. She has worked as an Educational Psychologist since 1998, completing her Master’s Degree in Education, with a specialization in educational psychology, at the University of Alberta in 1993.
Since then, she has developed expertise in the assessment of Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, FASD, Dyslexia, Social/Emotional and Behavioral disorders, Intellectual Disabilities and Giftedness. Sharon has also completed assessments for Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) funding, and is on the approved providers list for Capacity Assessments. As an associate of a national Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Sharon is qualified to provide Substance Abuse Assessments (SAP) as well as Solution-Focused Counseling. Sharon completed her psychology internship at the Calgary Catholic School District and upon obtaining her registration as a psychologist in March 2001, joined the Calgary Board of Education. She subsequently assumed the position of Manager of Assessment Services in a private school setting. Since 2010, Sharon has worked in private practice providing psycho-educational assessments, Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) support, and consultation to parents and school personnel. She works with clients of all ages, from toddlers to adults, and has a special interest in working with First Nations communities. Sharon is an active member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, and has previously participated on the Oral Examination Committee for new psychologists. She has supervised numerous provisional psychologists who, upon registration, have gone on to successful practices across Canada.
