Had some concerns about the work this guy said was needed. Went to a different shop to have the work done and they called me to say none of it was needed, yes they said I didn't need to spend a penny on the car. They were honest and never charged me anything......sure wish New Canadian Auto Clinic and the owner Moises Alvarado was that honest.
I decided to research him online and found this posted as a public announcement on the Ontario College of Trades site where real mechanics are licensed here in Ontario :

Defendant: Moises Alvarado, 56, of London.
Charge: Part III Provincial Offences Act summons for an offence under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009, sec. 2 - individual engaging in compulsory trade without a Certificate of Qualification.
Summary: On April 17, 2014 Ontario College of Trades enforcement officers conducted an Inspection at New Canadian Auto Clinic located in London. Alvarado was found performing work of an automotive service technician (310S) while not having a Certificate of Qualification or being a member of the College.
On Jan. 26, 2015, Alvarado pleaded guilty to the charge under sec. 2 of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009.
