When Dave Thomas opened our first Wendy's restaurant in 1969, he opened the door to a new gold standard in quality food. His words "We don't cut corners on quality," affected everything from our hamburgers to our customer service. When other restaurants were using frozen beef and mass-producing food, Dave developed an innovative method to prepare fresh, made-to-order hamburgers, allowing us to quickly serve high quality and variety to millions of customers daily. He coined the phrase, "Quality is our recipe." Every day, we honor his legacy and continue to live through his values and fresh philosophy by using select, premium ingredients and serving food that's made fresh with every order. That's the way it's always been and that's the way it will stay.

This particular Wendy's has consistently friendly, well trained staff. I enjoy going there for lunch and have never had a problem. As fast food chains go, I like Wendy's because the food is, as they say, "fresh never frozen" and there are a lot of healthy options. Their salads are delicious, and the chilli and single hamburgers are surprisingly low in calories. The children's menu offers good variety and healthy substitutions like yogurt instead of fries and milk and juice instead of pop. The price is very reasonable. I don't think there's anything on the menu over $10 and they have an extensive value menu. The Wendy's on Lansdowne had a bit of a makeover, not too long ago, so it looks pretty good and they are great for putting up fun, seasonal decorations.
