Alpha Movers

I gave this company a second chance at the end of November, after my move in June. The first move was chaotic, and the movers put things in the wrong room. This had improved the second time, but I did not appreciate Tony telling me when he arrived that he wanted $500 cash BEFORE starting the job. I had given him an accurate description of the job a month & a half prior to the end of November. At that time he just said he would charge $129 for the truck and $79/hour for two men. I previously told him there was no elevator, and the move would be from a basement to the 3rd floor the next building over. I said it would be easier to move everything in the truck and drive it to the next building, as my apartment there was near the stairway. He insisted on doing it HIS way and then, after 4 hours, he just takes off, when there are still items left to move. I had to move quite a bit myself. He appeared to be in a hurry. This is not good customer service.
