La Toscana

My husband and I recently dined at La Toscana with another couple. We did enjoy our meal, however, we found it to be a little on the pricey side for what we got and the service was a little slow. I ordered a pasta meal, and my husband ordered a chicken meal and we shared a green salad. I had water to drink and he had 2 beers. Our bill was just under $80 before tip. The couple we were with had a seafood pasta, duck, a couple of drinks and a salad and their bill was double what ours was. Portion sizes were average, not huge. The restaurant is quaint and cozy but small. The atmosphere was nice but I would definitely recommend making reservations as it did fill up. It is not a place that I would take young children to as the menu did not have the normal kid friendly items on it although you could probably get plain spaghetti and meatballs. It's more of a fancier restaurant, not a jeans type restaurant... nice pants or a dress would fit in much better than jeans.
