Kamakura Restaurant

Though their menu was rather expansive, with a large selection of Japanese and other asian cuisine, I was recently brought here during a visit to Winnipeg for the sushi. From the california rolls to the spicy tunas and the edamame's we enjoyed for appetizers, all the food came out fantastic. There were steamed dumplings served with a very tasty soy-based sauce with sesame seeds I really enjoyed, as well as pickled vegetable salads. All in all I enjoyed our visit, and the price we each paid for the amount of food (especially sushi) that we ate was really good. Friendly staff, authentic japanese decor (and uniforms), and areas where you can sit where there are no chairs, just pillows around a table. Always a bonus for that extra added Japanese experience.
